Nathan Quinn is a world-renowned marine biologist studying whale songs. His whole purpose in life is to find out what it means. He thinks that he is close when a rash of vandalism and very strange activities interrupt his life. His office is trashed, data destroyed, his partner and research assistant nearly drown, his partner's boat is sunk, and oh yeah, don't forget the strange whale with words Bite Me painted on his fluke who just so happens to eat him.
This book is truly bizarre. I was so confused through the first half of this book until I decided to just accept it and it would be all be easier, much like matters became easier for Nathan Quinn when he decided he was dead. It had some laugh out loud moments, but mostly it was an amusing, if strange, book. I'm not sure that Christopher Moore is for me, but I'm not going to rule out trying another of his novels.
